While our primary goal is to build resources for authors, we’ve quickly discovered that one natural by-product of our efforts is that we can easily create resources for reviewers. And so we’re inviting book reviewers to join our community as well!
The Database of Online Reviewers (DOR)
Over 500 reviewers have already filled out our survey, and we thank you for your participation. In case you’re visiting our site and you’re unfamiliar with DOR, we’ve created a searchable database to allow authors to easily research hundreds of reviewer sites. The goal is to help authors quickly research and contact reviewers who are truly a match for an upcoming book release. The database allows searching first by genre but also allows the author to drill down by format, publishing platform, level of violence or romantic heat and much more. Want to learn more? Meet DOR
Why Reviewers Should Consider Joining
- Our primary goal is to have the best communications possible. By registering, you have easy access to setting your email preferences with us. Plus, it tells us you’re interested in interacting. Believe me, we appreciate it.
- You’ll gain easy access to our Database of Online Reviewers (DOR) Survey, where you can add or update your review site information. We’ll keep you apprised of changes in the database layout and usage as it evolves.
- We’ve included a Books for Review page. Just as we gather information from reviewers, we gather information from our members about their upcoming book releases. Information on this page will be updated weekly, so reviewers who want to seek out potential books for reviewing will have access to the latest information.
- We’ve developed content helpful to reviewers. We’re compiling and writing material to help authors, and many reviewers have similar issues: websites, marketing, FTC regulations, and more. Yep, still free. We promise!
